Summerhill kept up their push to reach the knockout stages of the A league Division 1 when beating Syddan on a scoreline of 1-23 to 0-14, in Syddan on Sunday afternoon. The visitors were the slower to get off the mark with Syddan getting the first two scores before the ‘hill opened their account, but once they got going Summerhill never looked like loosing this game. They took their scores well and a goal from Paul Larkin midway through the first half put space between the sides and Summerhill went in at the break 1-12 to 0-5 to the good.

Summerhill continued their point scoring throughout the second half with some fine scores, but give credit to Syddan they never gave up and scored a further 9 points in the second half.
