Summerhill came out on top in round one of the Feis Cup on Thursday evening, beating Seneschalstown on their home turf in a very on sided affair. First half goals from Diarmuid McCabe in the twenty fifth minute and Sean Dalton in the twenty seventh minute, sent the visitors in at the break 2-9 to 0-7 to the good. Seneschalstown got their goal in the first minute of the second half, but a second goal from McCabe in the thirty fifth minute, followed by a goal in the forty first minute from Paul Larkin ended this game as a contest.
Summerhill emptied their bench giving senior debuts to Conor Sommerville and Conor Ryan.
