ACF'A'League Division 1. Round 2.

Summerhill's good early season form continued today with a win against St Patricks in Stamullen. The game began in extremly difficult conditions with a very strong win blowing across the pitch mixed with squally showers. Summerhill found scores hard to come by in the first half but two goals, one from Barry Dardis and the other from Eamonn McDonnell as well as a point from Bobby Lyons gave Summerhill a one point lead at half time on a scoreline of 2-1 to 0-6.

Dardis added a further goal and a point early in the second half to strech the Summerhill lead. St Pat's hit back with three points of their own to close the gap back to two point mid way through the half. A burst of 1-4 with out reply between the 15 and 22nd minute of the half ended the game as a contest. These scores consisted of a third Barry Dardis goal as well as points from Padraig Geraghty, Sean Dalton Brian Ennis and Eamonn McDonnell. A late Bobby Lyons point left the final score 4-7 to 0-10.

Next up for Summerhill in round three is a home game against Simonstown on Sunday 12th of March.
